The Big Dam (or Dang) Bridge

My family and I took a walk on a pedestrian bridge that goes over the river near downtown Little Rock. Besides the fact that it was exceedingly hot (95 degrees) and humid, I rather enjoyed myself with the photo opportunities that came. I'm sure I looked rather strange to all the power walkers and bicyclists when I would stop suddenly and take a picture of the ground, but who cares?

Dog, Fish, Water

My parents and I joined our friends and their dog, Amber today to sit in their boat on lake Maumel. It was rather nice. Although, I have decided that catch and release fishing is cruel. Plus fishing in general kind of grosses me out anyway.
It looked like God had painted the sky for us.

More Pinhole Photos!

I think I'm starting to get the hang of this.
Another double exposure. This one was half intentional.

A Walk in the Park

Whew! I'm on a blogging spree today! Ok, last one.

Well, Father's Day was quite fun. And not just for my pop. We went to the Wildwood Festival at I-can't-remember-the-name Gardens. Mostly, the festival was just a tent that was renting out fishing poles and a couple of camera guys from channel 7. So me, my family, and two friends from church who had nothing better to do, walked. Surprisingly, it was great. There was a rock garden with a total of one rocks. We happened upon a butterfly garden about the size of a closet. They played "Soul Sister" and "Beat It" on the loudspeakers. I did the robot. We all enjoyed ourselves. And I got some pinhole pictures out of it, to be developed. If they turn out, that is.
I don't know what caught me about this sign.
This was a failed attempt to blur the waterfall. That doesn't work with a point and shoot. Just one more reason to go SLR!

Yay! We're Moving! Yay!

Yay! Yay! That seems to be my favorite word at the moment! We bought a house! Yay! Finally! Yay!

Whoo. Had to get that out. Sorry.

As you can see, "yay" was and understatement. A big one. This is my future backyard:
Yay!

It's a Wonderful Town

Well, summer officially started for me and my family when we went on our first vacation in I don't know how long. So for almost a week, New York had to put up with us. And I did not arrive with just three bucks, two bags, and one me. (Did I really just make THAT reference?)

We walked through Central Park, visited wall street, toured all the You've got Mail locations, went to the ballet, said "hello" to New Jersey. All in all, it was pretty fun. Check that one off of my list of places to go. Next up, New Zealand! (I wish.)

"Don't cry, Shopgirl. Don't Cry." -You've got Mail.
This was actually at about 6 AM at the airport looking out the plane.
