Clouds

One of the most satisfying things, for me, to take photographs of are clouds.
And things behind clouds.
And things in front of clouds.
Just thought I would let you know.

A Golden Afternoon

Alice was beginning to get very tired of sitting by her sister on the bank, and of having nothing to do; once or twice she had peeped into the book her sister was reading, but it had no pictures or conversations in it,
"and what is the use of a book," thought Alice, "without pictures or conversations?"
So she was considering, in her own mind whether the pleasure of making a daisy chain
would be worth the trouble of getting up and picking the dasies.

Suddenly she came upon a little three-legged table, all made of solid glass: there was nothing on it but a key.

"Chesire-puss," Alice began, "would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?"
"That depends a great deal on where you want to get to," said the Cat.
"I don't much care where-" said Alice.
"Then it doesn't matter which way you go."
"-so long as I get somewhere," Alice added as an explanation.

"The first thing I've got to do," said Alice to herself, "is to grow to my right size again." It sounded an excellent plan, no doubt, and very neatly and simply arranged: the only difficulty was, that she had not the smallest idea how to set about it; and, while she was peering about anxiousy among the trees, a sharp little bark just over her head made her look up in a great hurry.
An enormous puppy was looking down at her with large round eyes and feebly stretching out one paw, trying to touch her. "Poor little thing!" said Alice, in a coaxing tone.
Hardly knowing what she did, she picked up a little bit of stick, and held it out to the puppy: whereupon the puppy jumped into the air off all its feet at once, with a yelp of delight, and rushed at the stick, and made belive to worry it: then Alice dodged behind a great thistle, to keep herself from being run over.
"And what a dear little puppy it was!" Said Alice. "I should have liked teaching it tricks very much."

Alice came upon a large flowerbed, with a border of dasies, and a willow tree growing in the middle.
"O Tiger-lily," said Alice, addressing herself to one that was waving about gracefully in the wind, "I wish you could talk."
"We can talk," said the Tiger-lily: "When there's anybody worth talking to."

All in the golden afternoon
Full leisurely we glide;
For both our oars, with little skill,
By little arms are plied,
While little arms make vain pretence
Our wanderings to guide.

Flick & Click

I love it when you can just flick you wrist and click the shutter button and come out with a photo like this.

Or this.
The hair, by the way was inspired by an awesome blog that my sister recently posted about. It didn't quite work as well as in the video but I still like it.

Wow, I'm on a link spree!

(That last one is my favorite.)

Caution: There is absolutely no point to this post. Just a possible good picture and a particularly strange rant.

I can't believe I've written only four posts in two months. Pathetic. I do have a very small excuse. I forgot my password. Shame, Carly. Dummy. I haven't gotten any really great pictures since my last post, but I do kind of like this one for some unknown reason:

I think it's because it was so easy to get. I was just sitting there, reading Cheaper By the Dozen. (The last book on my shelf. I've read practically everything else except maybe The Portable Poe or Twilight, niether of which I could stomach.)

I'm turning sixteen in about an hour. Well, technically 24 hours is actully closer to when I was really born, if you know what I mean. I feel like I should be jumping up and down with excitement. I'm happy, but it's just not as big a deal as I used to think. I always envisioned my "Sweet Sixteen" as, you know, you get your licence, everything is pink, you get your first car. (When my mom heard that last one she looked a little bit shocked, as if I was trying to hint something. Yeah right, I wish.) Anyway, blah blah blah. I'm going to go eat a tuna sandwich now.
